News from Neo Tai

After working as a language quality assurance coordinator at Sony Interactive Entertainment Taiwan for many years, I realized my own shortcomings in this field and decided to gain further knowledge of translation overseas.

The theoretical and practical training provided by ITS was truly profound during my two years in Wake. The training also helped me solve several puzzles I had throughout my career.

By working as a freelance translator, having translated and proofread texts for over a hundred console and mobile games, I am now able to achieve my goal of providing a language-accessible environment for all gamers. I have also assisted another company with localizing websites for Japan’s tourism industry.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the ITS program for this opportunity. I also send my sincerest congratulations and wish everyone the greatest journey in exploring the world of culture and language.

To all my fellow interpreters/translators in Wake, I finish with a well-known quote from Elden Ring: “It is my ordeal, you could say. To test myself, to better myself, to fell ever greater foes.” – Iron Fist Alexander.

May the grace guide thee.
